Our Vitality5 Urban Workshop left us wanting more!
You know it is a good sign when you complete a 3 hour Vitality Urban Workshop and no one wants it to end. Over 30 women came together to better understand why Gut Health is the "seat of all health" and so important to their wellbeing. More importantly, they connected with each other and experienced first hand what they could do to start optimizing their gut health immediately.
Together we discussed their 5 pillars of Vitality and how each one affects our gut health: Nutrition, Movement, Sleep, Resilience and Connection.
NUTRITION: We made 3 great tasting and gut healing smoothies that contained 4 critical components to maintaining a healthy gut: probiotic/prebiotic, anti-inflammatory foods, easily digestible protein powder and fiber.
MOVEMENT: We woke up our mind-body-gut connection with a powerful yoga class that focused on digestion aiding poses and strengthening our connection with our body so we can be better tuned into its needs.
SLEEP: Many women were surprised that sleep could play such a critical role in keeping our gut healthy. Together we explored ways to improve our sleep and prioritize it better. Creating sleep sanctuaries, wind down routines and optimal room conditions for a great nights sleep.
CONNECTION: A journaling exercise highlighted personal experiences and struggles relating to gut health and we were delighted that everyone felt comfortable sharing with each other. Many of us struggle with similar issues and the simple understanding that you are not alone can be very empowering.
RESILIENCE: We closed the session with a beautiful candle light guided meditation that brought us back to present awareness through our senses and allowed us to expand that calming sense of connection to all beings.
Everyone left glowing and with a renewed sense of energy to improve their own vitality with the tools they learned across all pillars of Vitality5.
