Sweet & Soothing Oatmeal

I am forever falling in love with the new and innovative ways @foodhalo uses nourishing ingredients to find ways to enjoy healthy food without sacrificing taste. This was one of her genius recipes that is easy to make and a great solution for fuelling first thing in the morning.


  • 1 cup of oatmeal or oat bran

  • 1 cup of nut milk

  • 1 cup of water

  • 3-4 dates (chopped)

  • 1/2 TSP of cinnamon


  • Add the water, nut milk, cinnamon and dates to a medium size pot and whisk well. Allow a few moments for the sweetness of the dates to escape into the water and nut milk. Bring the mixture to a boil and add oatmeal or oat bran. Stir frequently until cooked.

  • Add a dollop of plain greek yogurt (optional) and sprinkling of cinnamon on top.

  • Makes 1 serving.
