well&tight Lemon Drink & Digestive Aid
I have always been a fan of lemon water. The research supporting its long list of health benefits wavers in the industry but I like to go with how my body feels and I always feel restored and rejuvenated after a big tall glass of lemon water. Recently I've been playing with a new recipe to spice up my morning lemon water routine by adding fresh grated ginger, apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper. All these ingredients claim to have cleansing, digestive and hydration boosting properties. Regardless of what the research tells you, I personally notice a considerable difference on the days I have 1 or more of these 'magic' lemon drinks. Try one for yourself for a few days and see if you notice a difference.
- 2 cups + filtered water (depends how potent you like your drink)
- 1 fresh lemon (squeezed)
- 1 tbs (or more) apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (less if you are sensitive to spice)
Place all the ingredients in a glass or jar and mix well. Enjoy cold! I pre-make 3 of these drinks and keep them in the fridge for up to 3 days. I will have 2-3 a day depending on how I feel. It makes for a great energizing mid afternoon boost as well.
