I have been craving tropical flavours since I recently returned from my Caribbean vacation. There is something about these sweet and highly addictive flavours (coconut, pineapple etc…) that warm my spirit even on the coldest days. Bonus…this new smoothie recipe ended up being the best tasting one I’ve developed yet. Everyone in my home devoured it and it has become our new go-to smoothie in the mornings.
- 1 cup almond or coconut milk
- 1/4 cup kefir
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 zucchini
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 scoop Natural Coconut fermented vegan proteins+ powder by Genuine Health
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 fresh squeezed lime
- 1 tbs shredded coconut (garnish)
- Roughly chop the banana and zucchini.
- Add all the ingredients into a high-powered blender (liquid first) and blend until smooth.
- Top with shredded coconut and enjoy!
When making my well&tight smoothies, I always try and make 60-70% of the ingredients vegetables. Adding too much fruit will make your nourishing smoothies high in sugar which you want to avoid.
I get a lot of questions from my members about what protein powder to choose for optimal muscle recovery and digestive support. I personally prefer Genuine Health fermented vegan proteins+ powder because it gives me more protein and nutrient absorption than other brands. The fermented process they use helps maximize protein and nutrient absorption by up to 40% more than traditional unfermented formulas. Their plant-based formula provides 20g of highly absorbable protein per serving and strengthens gut and digestive health without the bloat.
That makes me and my gut very happy!
