I have always found joy in helping people lead a healthy life. Regardless of my commitments to my corporate marketing jobs, my small and growing family or my own personal training needs, it was a passion of mine to help people find their own personal nutrition and training guidelines in order to be their best well&tight self.
Maintaining a healthy weight never came easy to me. I didn’t have a youthful, over-achiever metabolism and always had to exercise regularly to maintain my weight. I was fortunate that as a young girl I was active in sports so my weight never got out of control but I depended on exercise and would fluctuate considerably (+15-20 lbs) in my off season.
As I entered my mid 20's and sports became less of a priority, my weight varied again depending on how much time I could find for exercise. I soon learned an important lesson - being active was not enough. In my humble opinion, nutrition is more than half of the battle when it comes to maintaining a healthy weight. If we don’t nourish our bodies and eat properly, it doesn’t matter how active we are, we won’t achieve our best well&tight self.
I started consulting regularly with nutritionists and naturopaths and benefited tremendously from their coaching and approach, so much so that I started my own journey to becoming a certified nutritionist. My combined experience learning from others (coaches, trainers and nutrition professionals) while training myself for provincial level soccer, running marathons and competing in Ironman races, lead me to a formula (lifestyle) that has helped me stay smaller than my high school weight and maintain it without difficulty.
Over the years I have helped numerous people lose between 10-60 lbs and keep the weight off. The well&tight program is only a small piece of the puzzle. I realized that the people who were most successful in leading a well&tight life were those who had a solid community or group of people participating in the program with them. We are so much stronger together and because this journey does not end for you after our formal 6 or 8 weeks together, it’s critical that you have a strong network of people you can rely on to help you maintain a well&tight life.
That is why I started well&tight. We are on a mission to establish communities across Canada that will provide people with affordable access to nutrition and training programs as well as build solid communities that will strengthen our efforts and keep you healthy all year long.
Join us at well&tight and experience for yourself what the power of a strong, likeminded community and the right tools can do for you. Because everyone deserves to feel confident in their body.
